Trivia Prep
Many game shows test their contestant’s knowledge. Some are knowledge-intensive, like Jeopardy! or Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. In others it provides a competitive advantage, like Whammy!. Knowledge of trivia can be acquired, but requires study.
It also requires investment. Many sources of information cost money. To a game show pro, this presents an excellent opportunity to justify these expenses as tax deductions by presenting them as costs of a real business.
I intend to use of my knowledge of trivia to win money on a game show sometime in the next five years (by 2011). To succeed, I need to improve my knowledge in a number of areas. In this series of posts, I will describe the materials that I will consult, many of which I will purchase, in the pursuit of this goal.
